Walking the Pooches!!

Today is my day off so the hubby and I (really me) decided to go for a long walk.
I treasure these times together,
even if it's a short walk around the neighborhood.

This house is just a few blocks from our home.
It always looks immaculate
but I never see anyone home.
I kind of have a crush on it.

This is our dog Lily! See that cute black dot on her tongue?

and this is Norton aka "Nort"...

He lives to do this...SERIOUSLY!!
By the end of our 4 mile walk
he still lifts his leg but nothing comes out.
WHY????

Best leash ever!! I got it from the swap meet with my girlfriend.
No more twisting and tangled up leashes.
It's thee best leash ever!
 Xtreme Leashes
Check them out here.

It's kind of like skiing! The handle is wonderful...
It's Jamaican Man!

Cutie!

Thanks for going with me honey
and letting me talk your ear off.

Working Girl

What can I say, I'm not a fan of Monday's!
I am thankful for my little job that
that provides me a little mad money
and works around my girls schedule.
Getting out a few days a week,
putting on makeup,
 getting dressed up,
is a good thing
for a stay at home mama.

I work for a sign company
that has been around since the 1930's.
It's family owned and I'm blessed to be apart of it.
I'm currently a Permit Specialist.
This basically means that I go to different cities
and submit plans for sign review.
You wouldn't believe how picky some cities are.
I sometimes have to go back 4 and 5 times
to get a city to approve a simple sign for there area.
I also work in the office and help in any way I can.

Here's some pictures highlighting my day:

This is where I was today...

Neon....A thing of the past! Everyone is switching to LED.

William Sign Co. History
Maurice G. Williams established Williams Sign Co. in 1930, after acquiring a sign shop from Tim J. Weaver, who shared space in the same building at 256 E. First Street, Pomona, CA. when Maurice was a painting contractor.
Maurice saw an opportunity to develop a business where he could use his creative talents for design and advertisement in the Pomona area.
In the mid 1930’s, Williams Sign Co. promoted the neon-illuminated signs, which were produced at the time by Metlox Signs of Manhattan Beach. When Metlox Signs neon patent expired, Williams Sign Co. was able to manufacture their own neon signs. In 1938 their final move to, 111 S. Huntington St., Pomona took place, which broadened their manufacturing capabilities, such as cabinet signs, wall signs and pole signs.
Maurice’s son Jay Williams, joined the company in 1945, after his discharge from the US Air Force as a pilot. Jay concentrated on mastering the manufacturing of all custom signs and the servicing side of the business. He also learned the art of the neon tube bending and manufactured neon signs. While his father concentrated on the sales and the design end of the business. Some of the well noted vintage signs that were manufactured in the late 40’s and early 50’s were for the LA County Fair. These reminders of a bygone era included the ultra modern Flower and Garden sign, the Grandstand Marquee and the most spectacular of all the Fun Zone arch a multicolored rainbow of glowing neon reaching 100 feet across, standing 40 feet high and accented with neon colored letters, stars and musical notes.
Jay’s daughter Sharon Willison joined the company in 1987 and Sharon’s son Chad Bruce started learning the sign business in 1989, following his grandfather’s footsteps. At one time there were four generations working in this office, which was quite remarkable.
There have been numerous changes in the sign industry throughout the years and generations which you can check out on our website or stopping by our office. Williams Sign Co. takes pride in its heritage and continues to grow with the times of new technologies to produce a quality product for its customers. We look forward to working with our customers as a team to achieve the advertisement needs they are looking for.

Welcome

Well, here it goes...

Welcome to my Blog! :D

This has been on my "Bucket List" for a long time and it's finally coming to fruition. Thank you to the friends and family who have encouraged me to do this. Sometimes you need someone to give you that push and today I have decided to take that step of faith. Taking pictures and creating memories is one of my biggest passions. I am by no means a professional photographer but I love the story a picture can tell. Haven't you ever looked at a picture and remembered exactly how you felt that moment?  I know I can...even in the saddest moments of my life.

My goal is to create a memory for my family and friends and share
some things I have learned along the way. My blog will be full of pictures, thoughts and maybe some simple DIY projects. I am a perfectionist, at times, so you may see many changes in the upcoming weeks. Until then, thanks for stopping by and I look forward to sharing some "Moments in Time" with you.
